Washing the car is a pretty simple process:
-
Rinse to remove loose dirt and debris.
-
Wash with two buckets: dip your sponge or mitt in the soapy bucket, wash a small area of the car, then rinse the sponge in a bucket full of clean water before moving on.
-
Final rinse, make sure you rinse from top to bottom so loose dirt falls to the ground.
-
Dry. It's actually much better to hand dry it with a towel than to let it dry in the sunlight. The sooner you get it dry, the less chance for spots to form.
The Inside
Break it into areas: front driver, front passenger, back right, back left, etc. Work in these areas, throwing away all trash, removing anything that doesn't belong, and if you have it with you, vacuuming the rug and the seat.
Move around the car like that until the entire vehicle is clean. To keep it clean longer, always take trash with you to the trash can when you get out of the car.
